What the site collects

You will not find a form on this site, so no field invites a name or street address. Like nearly every site, it sits on a host that keeps ordinary server logs and simple visit counts covering page views, device category and rough geography.

Typefaces arrive from Google Fonts and embedded maps arrive from Google Maps. Both companies can set cookies or note your IP address under policies of their own.

What happens when you call

Every phone number displayed here is a tracked line. The tracking vendor notes the moment a call begins, its duration and the originating number, which lets calls be routed and tallied. A call may be recorded to review quality or resolve a disagreement, and a notice is given wherever the law asks for one.

After you dial, an independent plumbing contractor takes over the conversation. The contractor can ask for a name, an address and an account of the problem, and handles that information as its own privacy rules dictate.

How the information is used

Visit and call records serve three purposes: pairing you with a contractor near your address, verifying the pairing worked, and guarding the site against abuse. Vendors providing hosting, call tracking or traffic analysis may see them, as may public authorities when compelled by law.

No personal information is sold through this site. To have a call record erased, write to the email below and include when the call took place.
